Investigating Supercritical Bended Flow Using Physical Model and CFD

چکیده

The flow in the bend channel used as spillway chute is complex due to turbulence, presence of shock waves, and vibrations. These transverse waves can damage hydraulic structure. Our aim this paper investigate distribution water surface five curved channels with relative curvatures ρ , different bottom slopes (1%, 2%, 10%, 18%) three cross-sections. objective give a solution reduce height difference between inner outer walls. To achieve goal, we physical models patterns, explore critical zones, test several solutions have better performance. reliability accuracy numerical results were validated using modelling for each case tested. Moreover, comparison measured data, theoretical calculations, outcomes was done, find fitting law maximum wave number. Furthermore, an optimal position guide wall identified real project spillway. model simulation show good agreement; thus, play crucial role order study parameters, pressure, velocity field problems that occur these structures.
